What is an online notary ?

An online notary public is a commissioned notary public who has the authority to perform a remote notarization using an audio-visual conference rather than having the individual physically appear before the notary at the time of the notarization.

What is required to do Remote Online Notarization in Texas?

Texas law requires online notary publics to verify the identity of the person electronically signing a document in a two-way video and audio conference.

With our platform we provide a video signing session that includes:

  • KBA Authentication
  • Digital Signature Certificate
  • Electronic Seal

Valid credentials include a government issued ID , that contains the signature and a photograph of the person.

Can you notarize documents for people outside of Texas?

Yes, as long as our notaries are performing their notarial acts within Texas, they can assist our customers located anywhere.

If you have any questions about notarizing a document, you may contact the person who drafted the document and ask them to clarify any questions about the document.

How does the online notarization process work?
  1. Contact us via email to schedule an appointment.
  2. Upload or email your document/s.
  3. On the day of the appointment, before the appointment, you will need to verify your identity answering a series of questions, take a picture of your valid ID as well as a picture of yourself.
  4. Once verified, the video conference will begin where you will digitally sign your document using your phone or computer.
What will I need in order to notarize a document online?
  • A valid government ID that contains a signature and picture, like a Drivers License or a Passport.
  • A computer and a mobile phone with a camera and microphone.
  • Stable high speed connection.
  • Each signee will need their own email address and their own computer.
  • A digital copy of the document needed to be notarized (Docx, Doc, ODT, ODS, Xls, Xlsx, RTF, and PDF)

We primarily focus on online notarizations but can also meet you at a predetermined location within 10 miles of Sachse, TX.

All costs agreed upon before setting up notarization appointment.

Remote Online Notarization – Remote Session Fee $25

Remote Online Notarization with secure credential analysis and identity proofing, online conference. ( Does not include cost of seal and signature)

Mobile Notary – Travel Fee $35

Meet at mutually agreed location within 10 miles of Sachse TX. Additional cost may be incurred if traveling farther. ( Does not include cost of seal and signature)

Acknowledgment / Proof of Acknowledgement – $6.00

Includes 1 Seal and Signature

An Acknowledgement / Proof of Acknowledgement is a certification that a signer personally appeared before the notary, was identified by the notary, and formerly declared to the notary that the signer willingly signed the document for its intended purpose.

Acknowledgment / Proof of Acknowledgement – each additional seals $6.00

Jurat – including oath or affirmation $6.00

Includes 1 Seal and Signature

A Jurat is a certification that a signer personally appeared before the notary with an unsigned document, was identified by the notary, was put under sworn oath or affirmation to attest the statements in the document were true, then signed the document is the presence of the notary.
